AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT AND EMERGENCY ORGANIZATION (ADEO) a Non – Governmental Organization with headquarters in Nairobi and filed offices in Kajiado and busia, with a mission to improve the quality of life of the vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our society through promotion of community empowerment and equity.
We are looking for well- qualified and motivated individuals to fill the following vacant positions:

POSITION: Field officer


An individual who can implement a ground breaking and innovative prevention and treatment approaches for HIV programming as well as implement Key population program in poor, hard-toreach communities.
The individual should be conversant with several tools including but not limited to: –

 PLHIV trackers

 Hotspot and social network maps

 Hotspot mapping tools

 Size estimate tools for KP

 Peer educator daily diaries

 Individual KP tracking tools

 Risk and vulnerability analysis tools

 Weekly outreach planning tools

 Monthly summary tools

 Opportunity gaps analysis tools

 Preference ranking tools

The individual MUST be able to conduct micro-planning and ensures a data-driven approach to peer outreach as well as;
1. Helps provide a clearly defined area of operation for each Peer Educator

2. Improves data collection and reporting by tracking each individual KP at a site and providing dashboard metrics that empower PEs to act upon the data

3. Allows PEs to monitor who is due for clinical services, such as testing for HIV, tuberculosis (TB), or sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

4. Helps PEs identify gaps in their outreach efforts

5. Shifts the program from merely service delivery (push) by increasing demand generation for services from the community (pull)

6. Creates community ownership

The individual core mandate will be to lead the Outreach team and the peer educators by: –
 Tracking an individual’s progress toward behavior change

 Planning outreach activities for the upcoming week

 Keeping up with who is due for clinic services

 Identifying gaps in outreach services

 Modifying strategies for effective service delivery

 Assess acceptability of the project

 To review the progress of the project

 Analyse reasons for success and/or barriers

 To understand the perception of the community and issues to be addressed Generate accurate data on outreach efforts

 To further empower community members in the project

As a member of the Monitoring committee:

1. To monitor the regularity of services

2. To understand the needs of the community and initiate appropriate action

3. To provide feedback on services and needs

The individual MUST be a Kenyan citizen, with a diploma/degree in Social Work or related discipline, ready to work at the hotspots and with little supervision.
Must be a team player and proficient in computer packages as well as good inter personal skills.
Good written and Oral skills are a MUST in English and Kiswahili.


POSITION: Assistant accountant



 A degree in Bachelor of Commerce (CPA is an added advantage)

 At least 2-5 years’ experience in an NGO set-up

 Good analytical analysis.

 Good Organizational skills.

 Excellent attention to details.

 The ability to work under pressure and deadlines.

 Confident with IT (especially Excel and any financial software package).

 Good communication skills (written and verbal).

 Happy working as part of a team and managing others.

 Discreet and trustworthy.


 Balancing accounts

 Processing receipts and payment.

 Filing statutory returns.

 Checking company bank statement.

 Preparing cash flow statement.

 Dealing with financial paper work.

 Filling all financial documents.

POSITION: Office messenger/ Cleaner


 KCSE Certificate

 Good command of English and Kiswahili


 Picking up and delivering documents or goods.

 Maintain confidentiality

 Efficiency when working in a large city and must be able to plan routes that will allow for faster and cheaper travel.

 Act as a problem solver at times.


 Remembering key information to complete pickups and deliveries such as entering buildings and routine routes.

 Observing traffic rules on all routes to ensure safe delivery of documents or goods.

 Also be experienced with using office equipment like printers, photocopiers, computers etc.

 Must be professional, organized and work quickly.

 Must have to spend the entire workday on their feet so they also must possess endurance.

 Need a strong work ethic and occupation and work well without supervision.
